Hope this isn't too off-topic. Our VLE is totally implemented in Zope, and
as we want to expand it....oh, and forget the PERL bit - that was an
oversight! :)

We have a two year position available, working within the FMCC to further
develop the NLE (Networked Learning Environment). The NLE is a virtual
learning environment (VLE) implemented in Zope, Python, XML and SQL databas=
e
technologies, initially developed at Newcastle under TLTP 3-86 that is bein=
g
used daily by the Medical Schools at Newcastle, Nottingham and Sheffield.
This post is designed to build on the successes of the NLE and further
consolidate the usage of the NLE both at Newcastle and further afield.

utilising the Internet to deliver learning resources. It is expected that
the postholder will hold a relevant (preferably higher) degree, or
equivalent experience. The postholder will be familiar with working in a
computer supported collaborative environment, training information
providers, and developing generic tools able to be used and maintained
easily by others. The post involves collaboration with other projects, NHS

candidates should be willing to undertake some travel.

The post will be appointed as soon as possible for two years on the Researc=
