[Zope3-dev] stupid_build.py: ZopeSplitter.c does not exist

Last night I decided to take a crack at Zope3.  I downloaded
the tarball and ran stupid_build.py:

  Building extensions in  ... <snip> ...
    /ZopeLegacy/Products/PluginIndexes/TextIndex/Splitter
  running build_ext
  building 'ZopeSplitter' extension
  error: file 'ZopeSplitter/src/ZopeSplitter.c' does not exist

Obviously I'm missing ZopeSplitter.c, but am I being too
premature in an attempt to get an experimental version of 
Zope3 to tinker on?

Second question:  One of my favorite Zope2 pasttimes
was to use the ZPublisher independently of Zope proper.
Is one of the componentization goals of Zope3 to let
us use /Zope3/lib/python/Zope/Publisher/Publisher.py
in the same (or similar) manner?

[ Aside:  This project looks exciting.  It's confusing
as heck, but I'm sure a lot of lessons learned in earlier 
Bobo/Zope approaches are being applied to Zope3. ]
