My argument is mainly for "naked" (unlinked) ids, yes. But there
remain cases where it's unclear that the link is sufficient. Say
there's a box linking to 'some/wrappedID'. If you rightclick and
copy the link, you might get 'http://server/path/some/wrappedID',
which is a pain if you wanted to select 'some/wrappedID' to paste.

In technical interfaces, like documentation generated by HappyDoc,
or the ZMI, IDs and paths (basically, "stuff occurring in the
source") that get rendered to the screen should probably not be
wrapped.

But I think it should be decided on a case by case basis.
