It may be a bad analogy, but I don't know how to fly a jet plane or
drive an 18 wheeler (think developer), but I do know how to drive a car
(think scripter). Does that mean I should be allowed to fly a jet plane
or drive an 18 wheeler?

There is nothing wrong having a higher point of entry than PHP. PHP
serves it's purpose.

Perhaps I'm missing something because I've just decided to take a look
at zope 3 development. Perhaps I need to grab the current code and play
around a bit.
