Yes. That is exactly it. Installers are nice for stable releases, but in 
this stage it would be much better to have a system that can be updated 
via cvs (or hopefully from Suversion soon)

With cvs and Tims .pyd files, I can just have a Z3 working directory, 
where I can keep my own code. Update it through CVS. If Z3 breaks I can 
download the latest binaries from Tim.

That would be really simple, and *allmost* as good as being able to 
compile it myself.

I am note really shure what consequences an installer would have, but I 
expect that I would need to download, install and manually change some 
configuration files to use the latest version.

That ain't much work I know, but on a daily basis it would probably be 
tedious.
