No, there will certainly be 2.10, 2.11, etc.

No.  I have no intention of restarting the numbering when we add
transition support.

No.  The whole point of X was to set people's eXpectations. :)

As long as the X is there people should not to expect support for
transitioning Z2 apps t Z3.
