Yes, more or less. It was originally said to be released by
february 2004, so that "work could begin on Zope 2.9", which would
feature Zope 3 integration. Instead, what we have is still no Zope 2.8,
and Five for integrating Zope 3 into Zope 2.7. The goal of Zope 2.8
determined here at the sprint is to get this technology in front of a wider
audience.

We're not expecting this to be done "instantly". But we see the
requirements swinging from integration of existing components to
integration of components which are not released yet (Zope X3.1 and
ZODB 3.4), and the appropriate Five release to support Zope X3.1.

We have enough on our plate just to do a release to start adding
requirements for it. We know the release is waiting on some important
work to be done by Jim for instance, and we know that can't happen
instantly. We just don't want to introduce a dependency on too many
*other* factors, as that can only delay the process.

The determination is here, but too much frustration can indeed turn it into
desperation. :)
