No, 3.4 isn't ready for a Zope 2.8 release yet, and there's more than
one issue there.  The easiest to resolve (or should be the easiest) is
that 3.4 depends on a few Zope3 packages (interfaces & testing), and
those haven't yet been integrated into 2.8 trunk (I guess maybe they
have been on a 2.8 branch, but that's not the trunk <wink>).  Of
course that's no problem with using 3.4 in Zope3, where those packages
have existed all along.

That said, I probably can't make more time for this today.  Because
Andreas released Zope 2.7.5 today, it's important that I make a
corresponding ZODB 3.2.6 release, and that takes more concentrated
effort than I'll likely be able to give it during PyCon (which starts
tomorrow morning).  3.2.6 contains several critical bugfixes, and has
priority (in my judgment).
