We don't do ZODB release branches anymore.  ZODB 3.3 final will be cut from
the Zope 2.8 tree, and pre-releases of ZODB 3.3 will be cut from the ZODB3
module in then-current Zope HEAD.  None of the MVCC code lives there yet,
though.  That still needs to be merged from the temporary
ZODB3-mvcc-2-branch development branch.  OTOH, ZODB3-mvcc-2-branch doesn't
contain Jim's persistence changes (they're on Zope HEAD now).

In short, Zope HEAD is the best answer to your question.

I don't, but I don't think I would know of such a plan if there were one --
I haven't been near Zope3 or ZODB4 for months.
