There is a corpus of information, including both the
wiki and the tutorial.

I didn't ignore the email thread at all. At some point, email
ceases to be a useful medium for discussion. The thread
was huge. I could have responded to almost every message.
People would have responded to my responses and there would
have been a huge mess. I simply tried to focus this discussion
of terms back on the glossary.
I updated the glossary, trying to address concerns raised in email
prior to asking people to focus there.
