Ok, the surgery is complete.  Thanks to Ken for his hands-on
staunching of a few minor hemorrhages. ;)

Please let me know if you have any other problems.  We know about
StandaloneZODB errors and Ken will fix these when he gets a chance.
I'm now going to fix some breakage that I couldn't fix until after the
repolink fiddlilng.
