Apart from being ugly, Basic is not fully functional: it doesn't
even display the "command" links below the "ZMI tab" links.  This
hides essential functionality (e.g. adding can only be done through
that -- I don't find typing @@+ in the location box acceptable).

That said, while I'm happy with Rotterdam as the default skin, I think
Basic could be reworked to be at least functional and slightly less
ugly, while still using only a conservative subset of HTML 4.0,
without relying on stylesheets.  Alas, I don't have time for this
either. :-(
